My husband and I agreed he was
worth every penny of the cost. We used him again to transport us to
and from the airport for our Mendoza flights, and then for our final
flight home. Fred went way beyond what was necessary, providing
little mini tours along the way, small bill change, coin change,
etc., all the little things that made our life easier that first day
in BA. I can recommend him without any reservation!

Has anyone seen
the big Lincoln Town Car driving around BA? The guy who owns it
is Fred a very down-to-earth likeable guy who aims to please. He
is an ex-pat American who speaks Spanish, is a great driver, and
a great all-round person. He'll take you on a tour, or pick you
up at the airport and he is so reliable. We used his services
several times over the past few weeks and it truly made our
visit to BA most enjoyable.

Why?
For my 2009 trip to the UK, admittedly on a bit of a whim

worth it, especially for first time tourists. You won’t have to
worry about relying on your Spanglish after a 15 hour flight,

and at the same time you can sit back in comfy leather and feel
cocooned in one of the most elegant cars on the Buenos Aires

your arrival in Buenos Aires – what other taxi service will do

I used Fred’s services to get to the airport today and can
recommend him highly. He was 15 minutes early (something to
remark upon in Buenos Aires), he had drinks in a small cooler
(water and a soda), the car was wonderful, and I didn’t feel
that I was participating in a Grand Prix while trying to get out
of the country! Also, if you are traveling with a big family,
everyone fits. He even called Tom after we arrived to let him
know I got here okay.

I would recommend using Fred from Silver Star to handle your
airport transfer. When my husband and I first arrived, we found
the airport to be a bit hectic and the taxi area quite
confusing... additionally, we didn't speak Spanish very well.
From then on, we've used Fred for our airport trips. .... I
guess it could be a bit more pricey, but you won't have to worry
about getting the run around or fake bills or not being able to
communicate with your driver. He also drives a Town Car, so if
you have the need for a larger car he's the one.

We also used Fred's Town Car service and it was GREAT! His price
is well worth it. Sure you can take a taxi for a lot less - but
you never know what state of repair the taxi is in, the driver,
etc. And if you can't speak Spanish - Fred is a welcome face
indeed. We had 5 big suitcases, 2 carry ons, 3 laptops and a
cat - so his nice big car was a plus. He offered us cold bottled
water which was a nice touch. We knew we weren't getting ripped
off, etc and he had lots of helpful tips for our trip in BA.

Coming to an end of an almost three week stint in Argentina,
ninth in four years with time split between hunting in Cordoba
and downtime in BA. Have used the Silver Star Car service on
several occasions both for myself and friends that have joined
me and left mid trip. On each occasion I found Fred to be
punctual, attentive and very helpful. I certainly have no
hesitation in recommending him to others. Quite frankly when you
have completed a fifteen hour flight from the UK the last thing

Coming into BA the first time without much in the way of Spanish
communication skill, having a native English speaker was a huge
comfort. Fred was waiting for me at the airport (on time - which
counts for a lot here). On the ride into the city, Fred filled
me in on all sorts of local customs, places to see, and even
came prepared to change some money for me, saving me the hassle
at the airport. When we got to my destination, the people I was
supposed to meet were not yet arrived. Fred let me use his cell
phone, then gave me the low down on getting a prepaid phone for
the duration of my visit.
When my friend flew in a few days later, Fred picked me up in
the city so I could greet my party at the airport and then
brought us both back for no extra fee. Fred made suggestions on
cool things to do and see during her stay, and even made
arrangements for us. On my friend's departure, there was a
scheduling conflict, and Fred promptly made arrangements with
another car service with an English speaking driver who was also
prompt and provided an enjoyable ride to the airport.
Fred is a concierge on wheels, competitively priced for the
service he offers, and I highly recommend Silver Star Car for
anyone needing reliable, friendly, not to mention informative,
transportation.

On Wednesday, September 16th I enlisted Silver Star's services
for an EZE airport pickup. Silver Star was there waiting for me
upon my arrival even though the arrival terminal had been
changed and my flight was delayed over four hours. Silver Star's
Lincoln Town Car was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Silver
Star provided pleasant conversation and drove the car in a safe
and very controlled manner. I recommend Silver Star's services
for those seeking executive level transport to / from the
airport and / or for transporting friends / relatives / business
associates who do not speak Spanish and / or do not know where
they are going.

My buddy and I just spent 2 weeks in Argentina and the best road
transportation we got was the ride with Fred from our hotel in
BsAs to EZE last Sunday. Only wish we would have used him
previously during the trip. My friend is a retired LEO and used
to teach state troopers how to drive and he was very impressed
with Fred's driving skills. Aside from the comfortable car it
was nice to also have someone who drove safe and comfortable
behind the wheel. We would never consider using any our
transport than Silver Star on our next trip.
